That's not really fair, now is it? No, but I think my least favorite would have to be the first one perhaps. I'm not completely sure why, I think it was just because they were so young.

I think my least favorite was Chamber of Secrets. They seemed completely Naive & there wasnt much action because everyone was petrified.

Plus Gilderoy Lockheart like killed me.

I'd probably have to go with The Chamber of Secrets also.

Oh my goodness without a doubt the Half-Blood Prince! That book was such a waste. A waste on random make-out sessions and horrible relationships gone awry. The only good things were Dumbly and Harry's sessions and the ending of the book. Other than that...I didn't like HBP much at all.

Chamber of Secrets has always been my least favorite. I don't really know why...I just don't find it as interesting as the other books. And the whole giant spider thing doesn't help matters. *shivers* I hate spiders.

I totally agree on that. I don't know; the epilogue just didn't do anything for me. Plus, it was just too much happening at once. So, yeah. I didn't hate any of the books but the epilogue could have most definitly been better.

He goes by Al.... which in the non-wizarding world isn't that bad of a name. I mean, at least he's not being taunted with this:

"Hey Hugo! We want some of your fancy, smancy suits because we're bosses!" You know, because of Hugo Boss... yeah I know random.

Quite frankly most of the poor kids in the wizarding world got tortured with cruel/extremely old-fashioned names. Albus Severus is not alone in the "My parents named me (insert name) because they hate me" club.

at least JKR was creative enough to come up with a bunch of names, no matter how weird they were
at least we weren't stuck with a bunch of Bob's

Oh! I like that about J.K. Rowling too! Plus she always seems to have a vaild reason for naming each character that name no matter how odd the name.

For example this is why she chose the name Hermione:

Hermione's name is derived from William Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale;Rowling claimed that she wanted it to be unusual since if fewer girls shared her name, fewer girls would get teased for it. Her original last name was "Puckle", but Rowling felt the name "did not suit her at all", and so the "less frivolous" Granger made it into the books

I really like that about J.K.

But since this post is a little off topic.... something to put me on topic.

I was extremely annoyed with Cho Chang in OotP! She totally lead Harry on just to get Harry to talk about Cedric. Yes, I know that she was dating Cedric and (obviously) loved him but the whole "cry my eyes out for months and talk about nothing else" thing always bugs me. I'm not being insensitve to her loss, but gosh.... there's a fine line between mourning and just wanting attention. From all I've wrote before this, you know what side of the fine line I think Cho's on.

I hated Cho Chang in OotP too! Honestly, if she's going out with Harry, she should be focused on Harry, not Cedric. I understand she misses him and everything but urging Harry to tell stories about Cedric on THEIR date is totally rude.
You should never mention your ex to your current boyfriend, it's like in the dating handbook.

This is difficult. I would have to say Sorcerer's Stone simply because I think they got progressively better afterwards but then again I have a rather emotional attachment to SS. Haha. I guess if I were particualarly moody today I would say OotP becuase that book upset me quite a bit.

I agree with those who said Chamber of secrets. There was no action and thrill because most of them were petrified. eerrr, maybe there was action, but not as expected. also Lockheart annoyed me so much. but honestly, I laughed when Mrs. Norris was petrified, no offense, but I don't know, that just hit a nerve, and Mr. Flinch kind of over reacted to it, on my opinion that is.

Aw, I love CoS. It was my favorite up until OotP came out. I like it even more now that we know about Horcruxes. I just think it's so cool how Jo interrelated all the books like that.

I can't say that I have a least favorite. Before DH came out, I would have said HBP, but I have a new appreciation for that one now that I've read DH and I love it now.

I know what you mean!! As soon as I went back and read CoS, and they describe him destroying the Horcrux I got chills! I love CoS.

And if I had to pick the book that appealed to me least I'd say the first one. It's not that it's not good, it's just so small and doesn't have as much to offer as the other books.

Of course, to her defense, you have Harry exclaiming he needs to leave early to meet Hermione. That can't feel good on her side either.

But she still was extremely annoying.

My least favorite would probably have to be Chamber of Secrets. Nothing really happend until the last 50 pages. At least the first one had actual action.
